CITI is looking for a technically-minded and socially-conscious individual who wants to use his or her computer skills to provide on-site desktop and end-user technical support for nonprofit clients. These responsibilities include installation, operation and maintenance of desktop hardware, software and related infrastructure. This individual ensures that end-user hardware and software systems enable staff, volunteers, and partners to effectively do their jobs.
Client Responsibilities
- Evaluate and recommend purchases of desktop computers, software and peripherals
- Plan and implement desktop rollout projects
- Install, maintain, and upgrade desktop computers, software and peripherals
- Investigate end-user problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, and implement solutions
- Provide basic training to end-users on software, hardware and peripherals
- Document desktop and end-user problems and resolutions for future reference
General Responsibilities
- Check and respond to voicemail and email on a daily basis during the work week, and "snail mail" on no less than a weekly basis
- While not doing billable work, perform personal administrative work, pursue professional development, and assist other team members with their tasks
- Engage in ongoing training for industry-standard certifications such as A+, MCSE, CCNA and other professional development
- Maintain a high level of client satisfaction
- Participate in other team and company initiatives
- Other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
- Two years of recent hands-on IT support experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- A+ or MCP certification preferred
- Must be willing and able to learn and quickly adapt to evolving technology.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Work is usually performed in the CITI office; we do offer the flexibility to work from home and on non-standard schedules as project timelines and other obligations allow. We are open to both full-time and part-time applicants. Some local travel to client locations is required.
